Abby wrapped up her work on the Crossroads at Midnight around the time I was job hunting from the last point, and we decided it'd be fun to try and make a game together!. Company folded after a couple of years because our clients didn't have money! Left that to form a startup with some college friends that built community organizing tools for local-level electoral campaigns and non-profits. My role there was leading "audience development", which was a hybrid of marketing and data analytics focused on getting new readers. Worked for two years at the Boston Globe helping them launch STAT. Worked as a blogger for a content mill that required me to write over 300 (bad) blog posts a month. Above startup had mass layoffs after being there for two months, went to a bootcamp to learn marketing. Worked in business development for a startup that built courses on stuff like meditation and mindfulness. Dropped out of NYU Law after 2 weeks (I did not like the Vibes). My career's been a little more traditional than Abby's!
